Wewer
Keohane is an award-winning artist with works in the
permanent collections of four museums. She works from Oneirica
Art Ranch, her cattle creek studio in the Roaring Fork Valley
of Colorado.
Wewer was raised in Europe and
lived for fifteen years in the New York and Washington, D.C. area
before moving to Colorado in 1981.
She received her Ph.D. in Creative Arts from the Union Institute,
Cincinnati, Ohio. Her artistic beginnings were in the advertising
field where she won many awards, including the coveted CLIO, the
Oscar of advertising. Since then, Wewer has become a full time
fine artist and award winner for her vibrant wood cuts and her
surreal and expressionistic paintings, monotypes, collages, and
hand made books.
Wewer is also the author of The Art of Dreaming, a guide
for receiving and expressing inspiration from dreams.
